My Shadow

This is my shadow, his name is Shadow, original yeah I know

Anywho he is a demon that exists in a universe parallel to the world I have made from my own dreamscape which I will most likely illustrate on more later. The dreamscape is basically a world like ours except more medieval where as there are sorcerers and knights and so such, little to no advanced technology, and magic and elements reign supreme.

*Shadows are a demon that are summoned forth by a ritual, and are usually sent to kill other lifeforms. Due to the fact that they can squeeze through any crevice and meld into the dark they make good assassins, they can change their form at will into any animal or weapon but they can not change their face or number of eyes. Most shadows only have one eye, but there are others who have killed their own kind and take the eyes of the fallen, which increases their power though it is rare to see one as they are often too powerful for even advanced magic to summon.

*Shadows will consume any life form they can fit into their bodies, usually whole, through either use of their mouth or their whole body depending on size. Through consumption they increase their own mass size, which they constantly burn off for energy, so even the biggest Shadow will eventually shrink back down to average size, and if going unfed, will wither into nothing but a husk until death.

*A Shadow's source of power is it's eye, as they possess no form of organs or bone structure, if the eye is removed from the slimy mass the body will blindly search for it's eye by using the perspective it still sees with from the separated eye as well as just the body feeling it's way around. If the eye is destroyed the body dissipates into black mist and disappears, and the eye leaves behind a small glowing crystal, which is believed to be what brought the creature to life in the first place. A Shadow can willingly sink it's eye into it's body to prevent any damage to it. Damaging the eye causes great pain.
